Woman’s body found in Knysna Lagoon

CAPE TOWN - The body of a woman believed to be in her 40s has been found floating in the water near Belvedere on Knysna Lagoon.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said the body was discovered on Thursday by tourists who were on holiday in Knysna and alerted authorities.
"The body of the female, sadly declared deceased, was brought to the NSRI Knysna station 12 rescue base, where the body was taken into the care of Government Health Forensic Pathology Services. The lady remains unidentified,” NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon said.
Lambinon said anyone with information should contact the Knysna police station.
