The eight-day truck drivers strike was called off on Wednesday after a provisional agreement between Satawu and the road freight industry was reached.
The union’s branches approved the document giving officials the green light to end the strike.
The agreement includes an 11% across the board increase.
Issues surrounding maternity leave and better working conditions were also resolved.
The union’s June Dube said they were pleased with the outcome.
“From this morning [Wednesday] until now we have been consulting with our structures. All the provinces have given us the go ahead to go and sign the agreement,” said Dube.
