One of the two South African mountaineers, who summited the world’s highest peak, John Black, has wished the Comrade’s runners good luck.
Robbie Kojetin, the second mountaineer, took on the challenge to raise money for cancer foundation CHOC, while Black claims to have done it for personal reasons.
Black, a formers runner himself, has advised Comrades athletes to take it one step at a time.
“My advice would be to take any big undertaking and big expedition, like the Comrades and like Everest, literally one step at a time and to try and break your objective down into smaller bite size chunks,” recommend Black.
