Police divers resumed their search for a man who attacked a woman and then ran into the sea at Lagoon Beach in Milnerton.

The suspect repeatedly stabbed a 25-year-old woman and then escaped into the ocean at the weekend.

The search by police and the NSRI has failed to yield results.

Police’s Frederick van Wyk said they were not going to give up.

“Police launched a boat at Cape Grace and started looking from Cape Grace to the river mouth and also to the Barrel Wreck. They will resume the search again today at those same points.”
