Mbanjwa takes the early lead in the Dusi

The Hansa Powerade Dusi canoe marathon got off to a flying start with local paddler Michael Mbanjwa winning the first leg in a time of 2hr47:28 on Thursday, followed by Ant Stott and Shaun Rubenstein in third.

In the women’s division, favourite Abbey Miedema was the first to cross the finishing line in a time of 3hr25:56, ahead of Robyn Kime.
