Hip Hop artist Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye and his co-accused Themba Tshabalala are expected back in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning.

The pair is facing murder and attempted murder charges after crashing into a group of school pupils in Soweto in March. Four of the boys died,while two others were hurt in the crash.

The two drivers were allegedly dicing, and the State claims they were intoxicated at the time.

The court will hear whether the Director of Public Prosecutions has confirmed the murder charges against the two men.

Jub Jub and Tshabalala will also hear whether their trial will be held in the high court.

The two men are currently out on R10 000 bail each. The issue of bail has been a contentious one with violent protests plaguing their bail hearings earlier this year.

There have also been concerns that police may have bungled the investigation.

It is alleged blood alcohol tests were conducted four hours later than the prescribed time.
