Police are investigating whether a gang is targeting farms in Stellenbosch.

Earlier this week, gunmen ransacked a farm in Devonvale just outside Stellenbosch. They fled with over R800 000 worth of goods.

Several similar incidents have been reported in recent months.

The police’s Rene Matthee said they hope to crack the case open with the public’s assistance.

"The police are still checking for the suspects. We are following up all possible leads and any person who can assist with any information can contact the Stellenbosch police,” said Matthee.
