Self-confessed hitman Mikey Schultz explained in detail on Monday what happened the night mining magnate Brett Kebble was killed.

Schultz pulled the trigger of the gun which killed the tycoon and drug lord Glenn Agliotti is currently on trial for the murder at the South Gauteng High Court.

Schultz revealed the astonishing details of what happened on the night of September 27 2005.

He explained how he rolled down his window and took aim at Kebble who was sitting in the driver’s seat of his Mercedes Benz with both hands on the steering wheel.

Twice, he pulled the trigger and the gun failed to discharge. It was only on the third try that he was successful.

He said he fired several shots at Kebble but he could not recall how many.

Schultz said his instructions from Kebble’s security head Clinton Nassif was to ensure that the mining tycoon did not suffer and that he died.

Together with Nigel Mcgurk and Faizel "Kappie" Smith, he destroyed the gun with a blow torch - cutting it into several pieces.

Agliotti has pleaded not guilty to the murder. He’s also facing charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder.
