Limpopo police are calling on whistle blowers to inform them of any poaching operations underway in that province.
Four foreigners who appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on charges of illegal hunting will remain bars for another week.
Following an anonymous tip off, they were arrested at a staged road block where an axe, a stolen rifle and their vehicle were confiscated.
They were apparently en route to kill rhinos at a private game reserve in that area.
The police’s Ronel Otto said they can make more strides in arresting illegal hunters if they are aware of any suspicious behaviour.
