Man killed in suspected gang shooting in Hanover Park

CAPE TOWN - A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in a suspected gang shooting in Hanover Park, Cape Town.

The deadly shooting happened at Ryburg Road at around 8am on Tuesday morning.

Police said that the man was shot in the head and declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk: "The circumstances surrounding this shooting incident are under investigation. The motive and the suspect or suspects are currently unknown. The possibility that it may be gang-related will be investigated."
