The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) online high school offers CAPS-aligned National Senior Certificate (NSC) curriculums in grades eight through 12 for only R2349 per month.

In 2023, three of their matric learners made it into SACAI's National Top 12, with one of those learners securing the top spot.

Tanya du Toit received six distinctions and an overall average of 89.5%, making her the top learner nationally for SACAI-accredited schools.

She says that one of the major benefits of online learning is control over your schedule, allowing you to work at your own pace.

Du Toit says that to succeed at online school you need to have self-discipline and learn to manage your time effectively.

Applications for grades eight to 11 for UCT's online high school in 2024 are open until Wednesday (24 January) at uctonlinehighschool.com.
