Police probing Elsies River double murder

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a double murder in Elsies River after two men were shot and killed on Wednesday morning.
 
Officers were called out to the crime scene in Owen Road where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies.
 
The police's Wesley Twigg: "The victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The possibility that the incident might be gang related will be investigated. The unknown suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested."
 
The Elsies River Community Policing Forum said that since schools reopened this year they had seen a concerning spike in crime.
