CAPE TOWN - Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of the bodies of a woman and a ten-year-old boy in their Bergvliet home.
 
Officers were deployed to the crime scene at around 11AM on Sunday.
 
The police's Wesley Twigg said that the police would not divulge any further details at this stage due to the sensitive nature of the incident.
 
"Kirstenhof police registered two inquest cases for investigation after an adult female and a ten-year-old boy were discovered in their home in Main Road, Bergvliet on Sunday morning at about 11:00. Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by paramedics. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation."
