JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Department of Education will visit Primrose Primary School in Germiston where a 13-year-old pupil allegedly shot the school’s principal.
The shooting took place on Friday morning after the principal allegedly told the grade six learner to study.
The department said Education MEC Matome Chiloane will have talks with the governing body and management on the matter.
"The principal is currently recovering in hospital from the gunshot,” said spokesperson Steve Mabona.
"The MEC will interact with the school management team, and the psycho-social support team will then be providing the necessary support."
