The Rooisand wild horses have been roaming the Fisherhaven wetland estuary in the Western Cape for more than 100 years.
However, unlit roads and new developments are harming the herd.
According to Dryburg horses had been killed or injured on the roads in the area.
As many new people are moving into the area the herd needed to be relocated back to Rooisand Nature Reserve for their safety.
After a 24-hour operation, Dryburg and a small team managed to move the small herd back to where the other herds were in Rooisand.
“We have had eyes on the herd, and they seem peaceful.”
