Germany's economy is in "troubled water", as indicated by the country's economic affairs minister, Robert Habeck.
He noted that the government's projection for economic growth in 2024 has been reduced from 1.3% to 0.2%.
This suggests a stagnation in Europe's largest economy, although it has managed to avoid a complete recession.
Habeck previously characterised Germany's economic condition as "dramatically bad," attributing the situation to the impact of Putin's full invasion of Ukraine on energy-intensive industries reliant on Russian gas.
"Economic security is something we feel very strongly about and that's sort of at stake right now."
