British financier Thomas Kingston has died at the age of 45.
He was the husband of Lady Gabriella, daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Kingston was found unresponsive by emergency services at a home in Gloucestershire on Sunday (25 February).
Buckingham Palace released a tribute by widow Lady Gabriella, alongside an image of a smiling Kingston:
“Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him… [This is] a great shock to the whole family.”
Kingston married Lady Gabriella at St George’s Chapel in 2019.
While the pair were not active members, they were supported by the Royal Family.
The Palace says the King and Queen have been informed and have released a statement conveying their grief.
“Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and all the Kingston family.”
Although the cause of death is undetermined, local police do not suspect foul play.
