She recently surprised recipients with the good news that they will be studying at Boston campuses across the country.

“This Zoom meeting isn’t because you guys are shortlisted, it’s because every single one of you have received the Boston City Campus bursary… I relate to many of your stories.”

“I want you to know that maybe I was the link between Boston and you guys, and I hope that this qualification can change the direction of your life,” said Joubert.

One of the recipients is Thando Mngomezulu, an actress and entrepreneur from Soweto.

She chose to study Content Creation to kickstart her social media channels and a podcast to help those living with skin conditions reach their full potential.

“I will use these as platforms for people living with different types of skin conditions and create awareness around them as I talk from personal experience and have been living with psoriasis for over a decade."

Another recipient is Stacy Govender from KwaZulu Natal, who will become the first person in her family to receive a tertiary education.

She will be studying towards a Higher Certificate in Paralegal Practice.

“Thanks to Natasha giving me a chance, I hope to show young women that it is possible to change your life and achieve what you set out to do.”
