During a National Assembly mini-plenary session on Friday, DA MP Leon Schreiber initiated a cadre deployment debate.
The DA are vocal critics of the practice.

The debate comes after the party had previously tabled the Public Administration Laws General Amendment Bill, which was rejected after a vote in the National Assembly last year.
They argue that cadre deployment undermines meritocracy and prioritises the good of the ANC over the good of South Africa
Winde says that people in certain roles may be aligned to a particular party, but it should not impact your work.
