Lester Kieiwit interviews Iain Banner to find out how their family ride went on Sunday during the Cape Town Cycle Tour.

Listen below.

In a stunning display of determination, the Banners faced adversity head-on during the 46th Cape Town Cycle Tour.

91-year-old Stewart, the family patriarch, endured a terrifying fall on Misty Cliffs, leaving him momentarily motionless.

Despite the shock and bloodshed, medics were astounded to find Stewart's vital signs unscathed.

Even more surprising was Stewart's resolve to remount his e-bike, bandaged but undeterred, and finish the race.

His remarkable feat is a testament to perseverance, showing that when faced with challenges, the human spirit knows no bounds.

As Stewart prepares to tackle his 17th race next year, his unwavering determination serves as an inspiring reminder that obstacles are merely stepping stones on the path to victory.
