Mmusi Maimane declared that their party has fulfilled the signature prerequisites to feature on all ballots in the forthcoming elections on 29 May 2024, despite waning societal trust.
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) mandates 60 000 signatures for new parties seeking to contest elections – BOSA garnered over 140 000 signature submissions.
Maimane emphasised at a media briefing that surpassing the IEC's signature requirement twofold indicates South Africans' trust in his new party.

He said that the nation requires a leader who possesses a wide array of diverse experiences and qualifications; qualities he claims to possess himself.
Unlike the DA, where he previously served as the leader in Johannesburg and National Spokesperson, BOSA is a party Maimane says prioritises all South Africans, not just the minority.
With unwavering confidence, he asserts that his party boasts the most diverse, experienced, and qualified leadership.
