After a stationery drop at Nederburg Primary school had everyone crying - dropping off some supplies at Uitsig Primary was no different.

But before we cry our eyes out for this one...

'The Stationery Vehicle Initiative' began at the start of the year where The Flash Drive team, Kfm Crew, Suzuki and YOU, Kfm fam came together to raise almost half a million Rand in donations to help schools with some of the resources needed to help make teaching and learning accessible and enjoyable.

Uitsig Primary was nominated by a Kfm listener who helped make a meaningful difference in teachers and learners lives at Uitsig Primary.

Carl and Tarryn went to deliver...

Uitsig Primary has about 600 learners and a vision to strive for "quality education in a safe learning environment."

But challenges like "unemployed parents, poor parent involvement, learners trauma and break-ins" at the school makes it hard to achieve this vision.

"Most kids don't pay school fees because learners survive on government grants and come from very poor backgrounds."
- Sadie Smith, Principal

For learners to perform optimally in classrooms, learners "need almost everything."

"There are times we don't even have toilet paper."
- Sadie Smith, Principal

Carl revealed a boot loaded with supplies for the kids and a cash donation which the teachers can use to start projects to help these kids.

Watch the moment below - there were tears. There was singing (led by Tarryn, of course). There was lots of thanks.

Here's to safe and fun learning and making an impact in the lives of our future - the children of Mzansi.
