South African gun owners want to know where political parties stand on owning firearms.

As we approach the 29 May elections, political parties are sharing where they stand on various important issues.
One issue that a few million South Africans want to know more about, is where they stand on gun related issues.

There are approximately four million legal firearm owners in the country, who want to ensure the party they vote for supports their right to own their guns.
At the same time, those who oppose gun ownership will want to know where to make their cross.
Gun ownership is a controversial topic around the world, with some believing it should be their unwavering right, and others calling for it to be banned completely.
Enslin says that as a citizen you should have the right to choose if you want to own a gun.
“The law-abiding citizens should own a firearm, but not everyone should own a firearm.”

While he says we do have decent legislation controlling who can own guns, it is not adequately enforced.
