Poo on a plane forces United Airlines Boeing to make swift u-turn

Yes, a rather stinky situation...

Poo on a plane forces United Airlines Boeing to make swift u-turn

Clarence Ford speaks to Barbara Friedman about trending topics of the day.

Friedman reports that after some hours in the air, a United Airlines Boeing was forced to return to Frankfurt in Germany, when a foul odour revealed an 'eruption' from a broken toilet, and faeces flooding the cabin.

Friedman added that since this wasn't the first poo-related situation on United Airlines Boeings, social media has been inundated with memes about Boeing's numerous stinky issues.

"Because this is not the first time this airline has been associated with things going wrong these past months. People on social media are posting a lot of these stories, including, 'if it's Boeing, I'm not going'. This has not helped their cause."

United Airlines said in a statement that the flight landed safely with all 273 passengers and crew disembarking safely.

"Can you imagine sitting in a plane with this smell? The smell of poo is not good. I always thought poo fell out of the plane and it just freezes."
