Gugs Mhlungu spoke to founder Of All My Sports SA, Elton Davids.
Listen to their conversation in the audio clip below.
Life has become extremely busy to the point that many of us don't have the time or energy to exercise and go to the gym.
"Often we are so busy with our lives that we kind of lose focus of just self-care more than anything else."
- Elton Davids, All My Sports SA founder
A training hack called "fitness snack" is said to help you lose weight and gain strength.
It's made up of five-minute workouts.
The reported benefits of these "fitness snack" workouts include sharper brain function, a better mood, burning fat faster and a fast metabolism.
These types of workouts are for anyone - no matter your fitness level.
"Ideally it should be 30 minutes of continuous activity for weight loss but if you're doing five minutes three or four times a day, it helps."
- Elton Davids, All My Sports SA founder
According to a Men's Health article titled How a Five-Minute Workout Can Get You Strong and Fit, we need to learn to "snack" on our fitness.
"Instead of devouring a full workout, squeeze in five minutes here and there for short segments of exercise - say, a few sets of 20 pushups or a circuit of five squats, five lunges, and a 30-second plank. These five-minute workouts help your overall health more than you’d expect, burning fat and building muscle over your entire body."

Davids emphasises that if we don't exercise regularly, our muscles lose their strength and shrink, resulting in us becoming weaker.
