Muhammad Ali’s shorts expected to sell for R111M
The white satin trunks were worn by Muhammad Ali during his infamous ‘Thrilla in Manila’ fight in 1975.

Gilchrist reports that bids are coming in hot and fast for Muhammad Ali’s boxing trunks.
Currently on auction on Sotheby’s website until Friday (12 April), the item is expected to reach $6 million (R111 million).
The shorts were worn by the late boxer during his infamous ‘Thrilla in Manila’ fight against Joe Frazier in 1975.
The white satin Everlast trunks are also signed by Ali.
