Bridget Jones is back! This time, she's Mad About the Boy!
Two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger makes a comeback with Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, set for release in 2025.
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that when one part of your life starts going okay, another falls spectacularly to pieces."
If you know where that's from, welcome - you're a true Bridget Jones' Diary fan.
We've got epic news!
A dose of 2000s nostalgia is set to hit screens in 2025 as Bridget Jones returns.
This will be the fourth movie in the “Bridget Jones's Diary” series called, 'Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy'.
The film is set to feature fan-favourite duo; two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones and Hugh Grant who plays Bridget's former boss and lover, Daniel Cleaver.
Emma Thompson, who starred in the third film as Bridget's despairing obstetrician, also returns, with '12 Years A Slave' star Chiwetel Ejiofor and 'White Lotus' actor Leo Woodall joining the cast.
Mark Darcey, Jones' husband played by Colin Firth, does not feature (what a shame).
In the fourth part of this movie series, your favourite chardonnay-swilling Brit is no longer a 30-something singleton, obsessed with her weight and finding a man. Bridget is a widow in her 50s with two children (Billy and Mabel) after Mark Darcey's death some years earlier - navigating grief and experimenting with social media.
However, details of the film's plot and whether it will follow the book have not yet been revealed.
The film is set for US release on Valentine's Day 2025.
Here are some iconic Bridget Jones moments to keep you going until then.
