Fighter Max Holloway walked away with US$600 000 (about R11.3 million) in bonuses for his legendary knockout of Justin Gaethje at UCF 300.

The American landed 181 significant strikes to beat Gaethje in the lightweight contest and claim the BMF title (Baddest Motherf***** in the Game) on Sunday night (14 April).

The highlight came in the fifth and final round when Holloway delivered the 'KO of the century', according to famed UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

Holloway took to his Instagram after the fight to commend Gaethje.

“It takes two to tango. I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner for #UFC300 . It was an honour to share that octagon with you.”
