Katlehong Town Hall: ‘Leave party politics behind, focus on services!’
We are just a few weeks away from national elections on 29 May 2024.

Clement Manyathela and Tshidi Madia were in Katlehong speaking to smaller parties before the elections.

A number of parties will be vying for seats in the upcoming elections.
In Ekurhuleni, residents have been frustrated by poor service delivery.
Madia and Manyathela spoke to some smaller parties about their visions.
The IFP’s Alco Ngobese says the most important thing is to put party politics aside and focus on service delivery.
He says the party’s priorities are stability and improving services.
“I am not here to grandstand… the IFP wants to be part of the solution.”

Senzo Khumalo, a representative for the MK party says that no political party can own Katlehong, it belongs to the people.
He says all but one ATM in the area has been bombed and the healthcare is abysmal, which are issues the leaders must address.
Dino Peterson from the Patriotic Alliance says there has been no political will to fix the problems the residents face.
ActionSA’s Siyanda Makhubo says the EFF is problematic in the Ekurhuleni government and he does not understand why the new mayor, Doctor Xhakaza, has allowed this to go on.
