The chocolate industry faces a serious cocoa shortage, causing ripples throughout the global chocolate market.

A shortfall of cocoa beans has pushed processing plants in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana - responsible for 60% of worldwide production - to the brink of closure.

Ageing trees, plant diseases, and adverse weather conditions are severely impacting crops, a trend expected to persist into the upcoming year.
