Action SA’s Angela Sobey wants to be the Premier of the Western Cape.

She says that, if she wins, she will focus on increasing employment to tackle inequality.

If the gap between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' does not narrow, says Sobey, it could lead to an all-out revolt.

Action SA has policies supportive of entrepreneurs, she says.

She adds that the narratives around race, especially divisions between Black and Coloured communities, are politically engineered and we must move away from them.

Sobey says her party - unlike others - is not concerned with winning at all costs.

“Why does it have to be a dirty game? What we are meant to be doing is serving the residents.”

Sobey says she commits to working with integrity and authenticity.

“Those words ‘authenticity’ and ‘integrity’ are unfamiliar in the political space. That is what drives me to step up.”
