Grammy-winning saxophonist David Sanborn dies at 78

Legendary jazz saxophonist David Sanborn has passed away at the age of 78.
A statement on his social media channels confirmed he passed away on Monday (13 May) after a long battle with prostate cancer.
The accomplished musician was known for his collaborations with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and David Bowie.
He is a six-time Grammy Award winner.
Fans and friends of the musician flooded social media with tributes.

One of the first smooth jazz albums I bought in 1986 was Double Vision by Bob James and David Sanborn,my standout track from the album was “Maputo” ,which to this day remains one of my favourite jazz tracks of all time.
