One major issue that KwaZulu Natal faces is political violence, and it recorded the highest number of political killings in 2023.
Dube-Ncube says this is very concerning as we head towards the elections.

What is particularly worrying is that certain political leaders make inflammatory statements and insight violence she adds.

She says there is a multiparty committee involving all political parties which encourages them to promote peace ahead of elections by speaking to their supporters and others.

Dube-Ncube says they are working closely with the police to try keep the situation under control.
