It is almost time to bring out your best and funkiest slippers for Read For A Dream’s biggest fundraiser.
Slipper Day takes place on Friday, 31 May.
The nationwide movement brings everyone from office workers to school learners together to make the dreams come true of dozens of children with critical diseases like cancer, renal failure, and heart conditions.
Reach For A Dream fulfills about six dreams a day throughout the year with the help of fundraising.
“[This] is a time when South Africans can contribute… and for that day they can think about what it's like to be a child with a life-threatening illness.”
- Julia Sotirianakos, Reach For A Dream CEO
“People think dreams are these huge, untouchable things… but most of our children aspire to have things like a cell phone, a laptop or going to the beach. This we all take for granted and use every day.”
- Julia Sotirianakos, Reach For A Dream CEO
Slipper Day stickers are available from Wimpy, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem Pharmacies, Dis-Chem Baby City, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Krispy Kreme and HushPuppies.co.za.
Stickers cost R20.
