Is Richard Dreyfuss OK? Shocks ‘Jaws’ fans with sexist, transphobic rant
The incident resulted in many fans storming out of the theatre, prompting the venue to apologise.
'Jaws' actor Richard Dreyfuss (76) launched into a sexist and transphobic speech during a recent appearance at a Massachusetts theatre’s screening of Jaws.
According to attendees, the star shouted, "You shouldn’t be listening to some 10-year-old who says they want to be a boy instead of a girl."
The Hollywood star is also said to have made sexist remarks regarding Barbra Streisand, his co-star in the 1987 thriller 'Nuts'.
Dreyfuss said he 'didn’t listen to Streisand because she is a woman and women shouldn’t have that power'.
Fans stormed out of the theatre, prompting the venue to apologise.
