The 2024 general election results showcase a fractured political landscape with no single party clinching a decisive victory.

Here's the breakdown of National Assembly seats:

  • ANC: 159
  • DA: 87
  • MK: 58
  • EFF: 39

Looking ahead, Landsberg says that the next two weeks lack the necessary momentum for significant progress.

He advocates for substantive negotiations to establish clear principles, aiming either for a government of national unity or a grand coalition.

"The Moonshot Pact is over... by tonight, you're gonna see how some parties are going to accuse the DA of almost having used them."

He highlights the focus on the DA and ANC, sidelining the EFF and other smaller parties.

As a result, he anticipates an alliance forming between the EFF and MK Party.

"We're gonna make a serious mistake not to want to engage with the EFF."

He calls for a shift in the DA's approach, urging them to embrace greater racial inclusivity and representation.
