One week post-elections, political parties have taken notice of the substantial turnout among young voters, indicative of their yearning for change and a platform to voice their concerns.

Having participated in two elections at Stellenbosch University, Qabaka asserts with certainty that this is the most significant turnout she's ever seen.
She believes it signifies the youth's sincere dedication to shaping their future, a sentiment echoed by the election results, where the ANC concluded its three-decade reign of unchallenged dominance in South Africa's political arena.

Qabaka observes that the outcome reflects the discontent and frustrations within the higher education system.
Dwindling funding and stagnant university subsidies are also highlighting concerns.
