Missing woman found dead, swallowed whole by giant snake

A mum of four who went missing was found eaten alive by a python.

Farida was reported missing after she didn’t return from a walk to the local market in Kalempang, Indonesia.

“A search party went out… the next day they found a huge python, about three metres long, with a bulging belly. They cut it open and inside was Farida, swallowed headfirst.”

In graphic images and videos, it appears the python had bitten her leg before suffocating and swallowing her head first.

While tragic, such cases happen fairly often in Indonesia.

The last reported case was in 2022.
