Fresh off the recent surprise appearance at Coachella with Doja Cat, The Joy has finally released their debut album.

The South African acapella group stunned audiences with their melodies and now you’ll be able to listen to more from them.

The self-titled debut album, produced by Transgressive Records, is led by the group’s single Bayang’khethela.

The group from Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, is made up of Pastor (Ntokozo Bright Magcaba), Duzie (Melokuhle Mkhungo), Guduza (Sphelele Hlophe), Sthombe (Phelelani Sithole) and Marcus (Sanele Ngcobo).

According to the release statement, the album was recorded in one life take, evident of their “astounding natural vocal ability”. 

“It was their astonishing talent which led Doja Cat to hand select them as her guest at Coachella.”
