South Africa has made it to its first ICC T20 World Cup Final.
Afghanistan’s fairytale ride at the ICC T20 World Cup has ended after losing the semi-final against the Proteas.
South Africa’s bowlers did a superb job of bowling their opponents out in under 12 overs, restricting them to just 56 runs, and then winning by nine wickets with 67 balls remaining.
The Proteas will face India or England in the finals in Barbados on Saturday, 29 June.
"In many ways, it's a fairytale and romantic story for South Africa. Eighteen World Cups, never beyond a semi-final, so a happy story at this stage," says Manthorp.
Of course, the team was 'buzzing' after the win - check out some shares from the ICC's social media.
