An experienced Springboks squad, including 20 World Cup Winners, will be facing off against Ireland for their opening Castle Lager Incoming Series Test this weekend.

The entire starting 15 and five players on the replacement bench were part of the team that secured our 2023 RWC title.

The remaining three players on the bench are Gerhard Steenekamp (prop), Salmaan Moerat (lock) and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu (utility back).

Twelve of the starting XV also started in the rugby world cup final.

De Koning says this is likely to be an intense match and possibly a close game.
