Western Province 'excited' to take on Bulls in Currie Cup this weekend
The Currie Cup finals are something very special says Western Province coach, John Dobson.
Lester Kiewit speaks to John Dobson.
DHL Western Province will be playing host to the Vodacom Blue Bulls this Sunday at DHL Cape Town stadium, with a 3pm kickoff.
Dobson says the team is excited for the Currie Cup this weekend, however, it will be 'challenge' coming straight from the URC games.
"It's a challenge coming soon after the URC... we have a lovely team. The URC is great and it's international but there's just something about the Currie Cup, the pride and tribalism around that."
- John Dobson, Coach - Western Province
"No matter what happens come 21 September when it's the Currie Cup finals... it's a big thing in the South African calendar... it's something very special... there's so much tradition and history there. For us, the Currie Cup is a big name..."
- John Dobson, Coach - Western Province
"I've coached it for nine years in a row and every year the formats change so we just need to get that right."
- John Dobson, Coach - Western Province
