Seoul City councillor, Kim Ki-duck has come under fire for his comments blaming male suicide rates on the increasingly ‘dominant’ role of women in society.
South Korea has one of the highest suicide rates in wealthy countries.

He claimed that women working is making it harder for men to find jobs and find women willing to marry them.

Ironically, South Korea has one the worst records on gender equality according to BBC.
These remarks are the latest in a serious of unscientific and misogynistic comments made by politicians in the country.
Previously one councillor recommended women take up gymnastics and pelvic floor exercises to boost the birth rate.
Another recommended girls starting school earlier than boys so classmates would ‘be attracted to each other when it comes time to marry.’
