South Africa's Youth Month took a backseat in June due to the new GNU government.
However, World Youth Skills Day on July 15th, offered a crucial opportunity to focus on empowering young South Africans.
World Skills Day is commemorated annually on July 15th, celebrates the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
The day aims to recognise the potential that young people have as changemakers in society, and how they can positively contribute to a prosperous and sustainable future.
Speaking to Motheo Khoaripe on The Money Show, Peter van Binsbergen, CEO BMW Group South Africa says as a global company they invest heavily in youth development.
