CAPE TOWN - The wife of slain activist, Loyiso Nkohla, said that her patience was wearing thin after yet another postponement in the court case against her husband's alleged killers.

Three men have been charged with Nkohla's murder after he was gunned down in Philippi while addressing a crowd in April last year.

Another suspect is still being sought by the Hawks for being involved in the shooting.

Zukisa Tshabile, Mzubanzi Chulayo and Mziyanda Mdlungu made another appearance in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on Tuesday where Mdlungu was set to apply for bail.

However, the matter was again postponed after Mdlungu's attorney was not ready to proceed.

Nkohla's wife, Nyameka Mbandla, feels the defence is purposefully delaying the case.

"Every time the suspects ask for bail and then when they get there, it's either they not prepared... so, for me, it feels like they're playing games or trying to pull every trick in the book."

Tshabile and Chulayo have chosen to abandon their bail applications and are due back in court on 23 August, while Mdlungu's bail application is now set for 24 July.
