'I divorce you': Dubai princess breaks up with husband... on Instagram!?
The announcement appeared on the official account of her highness Sheikha Mahra Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The pair have also unfollowed each other on social media.
The daughter of Dubai's King and Prime Minister of the UAE, Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has publicly declared 'divorce' from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, with a post on Instagram.
The post read: "Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife."
The princess captured the post saying, "When a strong woman knows her worth mashallah."
They married in May 2023 and had a baby girl in May this year.
Shaikha Mahra, a woman's rights activist, also posted a picture with her daughter on Instagram, with the caption, 'Just the two of us.'
The pair have unfollowed each other on social media, and have removed all posts where they appear together.
There has been no official statement from the House of Maktoum, the royal family that rules Dubai and which Sheikha Mahra is part of.
Meanwhile, the princess's soon-to-be ex-husband has not addressed this announcement, going on to post about his life, featuring notorious friends like self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate and legendary footballer Ronaldinho.
Many on social media speculated that the princess' account could have been hacked while others congratulated her.
