CoCT firefighters discover body of person who fell into Highbury Canal
The body is believed to be the person who fell into the canal during inclement weather on 18 July.

A body was found on Monday morning (22 July) in the Kuilsriver area by City firefighters, according to a statement by the City of Cape Town.
It is believed this is the same person who fell into a canal last Thursday.
Following the incident a four-day search and rescue mission ensued, with help from the city’s Fire & Rescue swift water rescue team, the Law Enforcement Marine and Environmental Unit, and the use of a drone.
According to Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, this is the second such incident to take place in the space of a week.
