Two of the accused in the VBS case, former Limpopo ANC treasurer Danny Msiza and former Youth League leader, Kabelo Matsepe are requesting their case be separated from the others.
The accused in the case have been charged with looting more than R2 billion, and falsifying documents to cover up that the bank was insolvent.
The bank's former CFO, Phillip Truter, and its former CEO, Tshifhiwa Matodzi, have both entered plea agreements with the state.
Bernadette Wicks, EWN Reporter, says Msiza and Matsepe are arguing that they are not ready to go to trial while the other accused are.
“They want a temporary stay of prosecution or alternatively for their cases to be separated from the other accused.”

They are requesting this while appealing a judgement that denied them access to certain evidence and documentation.
