A Thai woman was rescued after surviving hours trapped by a python.
Arom Arunroj (64) was attacked and bitten several times by the snake in her home in Bangkok at about 8.30 pm.
She tried to fight off the four-meter python but it wrapped around her waist for about four hours.
While pythons are not venomous, their bites can cause infection.
They kill their prey by wrapping themselves around it and suffocating it.
Arunroj was found by a neighbor who called for help.
A Thai resident fought for almost two hours with a 4-meter python that attacked her while washing dishes, bit her several times and tried to strangle her.

“She believes if she had given up, fallen asleep or gone unconscious, the python would have eaten her… a trip to the hospital and she was fine.”
