President Cyril Ramaphosa talks SA investment with Elon Musk in New York

It has been an eventful visit to New York for President Cyril Ramaphosa.
While in the Big Apple for the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations, Ramaphosa met with Tesla and X owner, Elon Musk.
In a post on X reflecting on the meeting, the Presidency’s X account said the pair discussed opportunities for Musk to invest in South Africa.
Ramaphosa said the meeting was 'positive', reported SABC News.

The meeting comes after government said it was considering opening the market to Tesla’s Starlink business.
Musk recently suggested that South Africa would become the latest African country to get the service.
